"I will tell the people what's going on at the statehouse. I'm going to treat the capitol as a borderline crime scene. ... If businesses don't have to pay taxes, the burden should not be on those trying to feed themselves." - The Valley Falls Vindicator & Oskaloosa Independent, March 3, 2016.

Across Kansas the top 1% are looting and on-the-loose, pitting us against each other. Communities in Jefferson County need to democratically prepare themselves for food and energy autonomy.

Ann Mah: CAMPAIGN UPDATE w/ Candidate KS Sen. (Dist. 20) Rachel Willis and author Reshnam Saujani, Oct. 12th Fundraiser

Campaign update
Dear Michael Caddell,
Rachel Willis is working hard to win the Senate District 20 seat. She has a tough opponent - Rep. Brenda Dietrich - but Rachel is closing the gap. Dietrich voted to override Gov. Kelly's vetoes every time she got the chance. Rachel will stand with the Governor, Senate Minority Leader Hensley,...and us!

Rachel also got an "A" rating from the bipartisan group Women for Kansas. Dietrich got a "D". All Rachel needs now is some money to win this seat! Hope you will join us for her virtual fundraiser below. Hope to "see" you there...and please forward this email to anyone who might be interested in attending.

While you are at it, be sure to "like" Rachel's Facebook page and share her posts. Social media works!

Girls' Education fundraiser!

Women make up 51% of the population of the United States. Yet, women only make up 28% of jobs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). They make up 33 of the Fortune 500 company CEOs - and that's a record high. And, they only make up 27% of the Kansas Legislature.
How do we close this gap?
Join Rachel Williscandidate for Senate District 20, with special guests Reshma Saujani, founder and CEO of Girls Who Code and author of Brave, Not Perfect, and Ann Mah, Kansas State Board of Education, District 4, for a virtual discussion on this subject.
To RSVP, just make a minimum of $20 donation to Rachel's campaign. You can do that online here:  Rachel's donation page  The Zoom link will be emailed to you on October 11. Don't miss this exciting event! Invite your friends!

Sincerely,
