"I will tell the people what's going on at the statehouse. I'm going to treat the capitol as a borderline crime scene. ... If businesses don't have to pay taxes, the burden should not be on those trying to feed themselves." - The Valley Falls Vindicator & Oskaloosa Independent, March 3, 2016.

Across Kansas the top 1% are looting and on-the-loose, pitting us against each other. Communities in Jefferson County need to democratically prepare themselves for food and energy autonomy.

MAINSTREAM COALITION, March 5, 2018 "On Transparency in the Kansas Statehouse" (Video)

TRICKERY, DECEPTION, LAWYER DODGES AND SECRECY ... KANSANS MUST LEAD THE WAY.

This from the Mainstream Coalition's latest newsletter:
"One transparency bill has made it, so far, through the committee gauntlet in the Kansas Legislature. That bill is HB 2562, creating the Kansas Transparency Act and would require audio and video of all public meetings at the Statehouse be recorded and archived and made available to the public. Right now, nobody is allowed to even take a picture of the large vote recording board in the House or Senate chambers. MainStream supports this bill.
Contact your KS Senator and Representative asking them to support HB 2562, requiring audio and video of meetings."Contact your KS Senator and Representative asking them to support HB 2562, requiring audio and video of meetings."

My commentary as posted on their Facebook entry for the video embedded below.

Rigged witness lists, unrecorded votes, secretive "at the rail" committee meetings, anonymous (lobby created) sponsors these hallmark the "lawmaking" activities of a gangster plutocracy.

Welcome to #Brownbackistan, another "sh*thole" state government, coming soon to all of the United States of America.  "Free State" Kansas should lead the way.

I propose developing a grassroots campaign in all Kansas House of Representative districts seeking all candidates (and incumbent lawmakers) their sponsorship(s) in drafting and placing before the Rules Committee:

A law creating a #GovernorsQuestionTime modeled on the United Kingdom's House of Commons "Prime Minister's Question Time".

When passed, the proven consequences from centuries as practiced in England will be:

Enacted by law; the sitting governor and his/her cabinet of appointed advisors must appear into the well, before all members of the House of Representatives.  That these meetings be held regular and weekly appointed times while said Kansas House of Representatives is in session, and a public record of the said meeting where said Governor are viewed answering questions from both the opposition, his/her supporters thus revealing through open democratic debate their differences to enlighten the public.

Below the complete video detailing the appalling situation in #DarkKansas as revealed in detail through the experiences of journalists, lawmakers and citizens who observe in Topeka the statehouse creating the plutocratic gangsters' laws.
